Xposed framework not working in MIUI 6, Redmi 1s

I installed xposed framework 2.6.1 in my redmi 1s which runs MIUI 6 (not the global beta version) 6.6.1.0(KHCMICF). And I tried to download new modules from download section. When I click the download button, it displays like the download is starting. But it stops suddenly without even downloading a single KB. I tried to download modules via browser and installed them. I enabled it in the framework and rebooted. But they are not working. I tried many modules, nothing works. Please help me to solve this
